I didn’t get a chance to do anything this year, but I wanted to share some photographs I took at a World Suicide Prevention Day event from two years ago. September 10th, 2015, I received the chance to work with the students of Georgia Military College to celebrate World Suicide Prevention Day! Together, we gave out pamphlets and inspirational quotes to inform the other students that there is help available! It was by far the best experience I had working with students on raising awareness.
One thing I LOVED about working in higher education was that students were always willing to fight for something they believed in. I tear up every time I look at the album on my Flickr account. Together, we were able to education others and encourage them to get help. I literally couldn’t contain myself!!!! The level of participation was OFF THE WALLS. Thank you to the Psychology Club at Georgia Military College for making my dream come true. I can’t wait to bring it to another school!
Enjoy the photographs! They speak for themselves. Hope it inspires you to make a difference. Happy World Suicide Prevention Day!
